Dr Zubairu Umar Darma

Introduction

Environmental Microbiologist from the department of Microbiology, Umaru Musa Yar’adua University Katsina, specialized in Bioremediation with emphasis on Biodegradation of hazardous chemicals. He formulates fast and effective degrading consortium of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) which helps to overcome the slow degradation limitation of PAHs bio-removal.

Area of Research Interest

Biodegradation of hazardous chemicals and Biomining of low grade metal ores

Academic Qualification

PhD Microbiology from Universiti Putra Malaysia (2017); M.Sc. Environmental Microbiology from Bayero University Kano, Nigeria (2014); B.Sc. Microbiology from Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, Nigeria (2007).
