Umaru Musa Yar'adua University Health Services is responsible for the provision of medical and other health-related services to the students, staff dependents and other members of the University community.
The Clinic provides 24/7 primary care to students, staff and dependants. The students are covered under the Tertiary Institutions Social Health Insurance Program (TISHIP) of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) while the staff are fully subsidized by the University. The clinic also handles referrals to secondary/tertiary facilities and advises the authorities on any medical reports emanating from elsewhere.
On Environmental Health the Directorate provides four (4) environmental/community health staff that assist the University in maintaining adequate sanitation.
